Re: You’re welcome

What’s palm oil?
A relative of hand lotion, probably.
It'll make your engine run silky smooth, and reduce visible wrinkles!

Re: Never mind the crash…

Dan Gryder seems to have stolen the warning light from the stack?
Did he blame it on the NTSB?

An interesting theory

NTSB report apparently is out on the Caravan that crashed in Burley IA a while back. Our speakist Juan has an interesting theory on a partial cause of the accident: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWCkzJEpcnw Report (PDF): https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-repgen/api/Aviation/ReportMain/GenerateNewestRepo...

Re: Checklists, procedures, rules...

2) Your helmet strap is loose. This thread is titled checklist, procedures, rules for God's sake!
I suspect in that individual's case, the helmet strap is unnecessary... the helmet is kept firmly in place by his animal magnetism.

Aeroplanies on the telly

Has anyone here seen this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtL60wk4gys I watched it (just the pilot, and yes what a pun that is) and while it wasn't awful, I'm having trouble understanding why people seem to love it so much (7.0 on IMDB). Someone in the comments praised it for its "technical ac...

Re: Okay, which one of you posted this?

Excuse my excitement , given the inherent dangers of going around , underslung engines , somatogravic illusions , fatal software flaws and pilot stupidity I thought I was going to witness an amazing TOTAL AIR DISASTER!!!! And... did you notice where most of the participants in the video were standi...

A good use for AI?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wtf-Wrk-Nq8

Livestream from EGLL, probably best when it's daytime there.

The intarwebz seem to think the camera is AI-controlled. That, or there's an incredibly patient and accurate human operator.

Re: Great idea!

That's the brake cooling FlyBoyie has been asking for
It's actually doubly useful as when the plane is hydroplaning, heating of the brakes is greatly reduced.
