I could've sworn I saw some posts on another forum where a certain marine engineer was about to school some young wannabe professional pilots on the difference between sucking and blowing. Did they get deleted?

Re: I am tired of hearing about unstabilized approaches...
Just to be argumentative- I see NO reason to go around... I just want to understand THIS procedure: "Should we stop monitoring airspeed" "Yes". you aren't going around when you detect something is wrong the flaps then? so that you can in particular ensure you are monitoring your...

Flight memory says
33 flights
180 hours
146,942km or 3.67 times around the Earth
Aircraft 13x738, 7x380, 2x333,321,773,320, 1x744,788,343,350,332
and in all of that nothing exciting happened.

Unloading Fuel
Ever had to unload fuel at the gate? Recent experience my LAX-DFW A321 came out from the hangar fuelled as if it was going all the way to the East Coast. End result sitting on the ground for over an hour as they slowly pumped off fuel to get us below Max Landing Weight into DFW. As pilot said, desig...

I do it in the car, push the clutch in and see how far I can coast into the driveway and use the slope to stop. I know they were trialling those optimum arrivals out in this part of the world a number of years ago. The early morning arrivals from Asia and America aren't encumbered with local traffic...

Re: A350 Troubles the latest news......
Had my first A350 flight last month (as well as 787 and surprisingly A340 as well). I suspect it was the pilots first A350 flight as well by the way he yanked back on the control column to rotate. I'd give a trip report on the benefits of premium economy but at the gate my boarding pass beeped and I...

I've got some that will qualify. 1981 long car journey south to the gliding nationals. Somewhere south of Haast on SH6. Re: Emirates 777-300 Unsuccessful Landing at Dubai
From Flight Global... ...The crew opted to execute a go-around and the aircraft became airborne 4s after the warning... ...Its flaps started to retract to the ‘20’ position – the normal go-around setting... I have no knowledge of the FCOM for this aircraft, nor do I even remember it for a 172. Neve...

May I please offer a piece of rare monchavian speculation. This would appear to be a piece of pilot error. Thank you. During winter they use studded boots for traction and akkevit as antifreeze .
