Re: Power loss in Engine #1

On a slightly more serious note, did anyone else notice the engine seemed to be running even after the plane came to a stop?... WOW...actual discussion (and arm-chair Monday AM quarterbacking) Seemed like a nice landing (especially to merge into a gap in traffic- LOL). Yeah...the prop was spinning ...

I like that there's a not_guy , with not_comprehensive swimwear, who IS clinging to the fence. I do note how the thread has envolved into a bicker session on whether Brian makes mistakes or not and a bicker session on how Brian defines mistakes with near zero acknowledgement that experiencing a good (though not deadly) level of jet blast might be kind of a cool experience for an aviation fan...

Preservation from Brian's delete button.

In an effort to stir crap (at a level 25% as good as Flyboy and ITS), I have razzed Brian, there. If he is in a bitchy mood, he will delete my post and ban me. A couple weeks ago, I made a zinger comment on a photo rejection too...(I note that the rejection appeal infestation in "Aviation Discu...

Gotta confess, I kinda want to do it.

And noted, someone who probably felt similarly did died...

Plus, I figure it's generally safer BEHIND the engines than in front.

Re: C-130, Mississippi- Update.

Eyewitnesses have it 'corkscrewing' down with an engine smoking and officials stating that 'it had a mishap'* . The article gives strong indication of at least a partial, in-flight break up (consistent with earlier reports). *Great word choice...sort of says 'collision or some refueling mess up'...O...

I don't like the somewhat relentless pull ups! Also, can you fly either aircraft with the same type rating? (Reference to the nice effort that was made so that 757 and 767 had the same type rating...that is ever so slightly implied, especially if you use an over active imagination , by the paint sch...

No.

1. Nicely worded statements from the PR department where they try to communicate that the airline actually cares.

AND

2. Business as usual.

Re: Grisly Beheaded UAL 757 Now Children’s Museum Trophy

I wish there were more in-tact airplanes on display where you could sit in the cockpit. Tons upon tons of whole aircraft are on display, but it's kind of rare to get in the cockpit. The 727 at Chicago is very cool, but conversely, it's somewhat cut up and don't think you actually work controls. They...
