Re: Pontificating on hard landings...
I think the "by the book" answer for airliners is very simple: if you bounce, you go around. Period. Holy [obscure god]. Who is sending out Evan-black-and-white nanoprobes? Have you ever done ANY fence perving? Watched landing YouTubez? Bounces (albethey small) are not_uncommon for airlin...

Pontificating on hard landings...
Part 1: I have a genuine question: ARGUABLY, and from the vantage point of a keyboard, should LH-B'747's guys maybe just "salvaged" the bounce instead of going around? You don't necessarily have great airspeed and engine power right then, so why fight getting those things back when you are...

Bernt says you’re wrong.
This is an odd one, for sure. I've watched the video several times now in hopes of getting a clearer view not of the aircraft's attitude but of control surface positioning, specifically if the elevators were ever deflected downwards. The video is not very clear but it does NOT appear that elevators...

Indeed.

Evan has not_approved it.
It’s designed for single-engine death traps.
Don’t_you need a ballistic parachute?

I’m continuing my boycott of Long videos. I did see a genetically-modified squid, hanging from the ceiling. Was it preparing to pounce on people, or was it accessing Chat GPT to inject “correct” information?

1) I don't know why but Village People crossed my mind. 2) Your helmet strap is loose. This thread is titled checklist, procedures, rules for God's sake! It’s called stepping out of the bubble and riding a bike, Evan ;) Admittedly, he’s using his face diaper. https://youtu.be/CS9OO0S5w2k?si=p...

Humour appreciated. Unfortunately, we have YouTubers making YouTubes about YouTubers. I gotta say, the gals are cuter than the ugly, dorky guy, and she seems a bit more grounded than TN Flynot_boy. https://youtu.be/zUWvf7v9ed8?si=zkxE7ds2Q6ZB13gB There’s also something very close to all of us pictur...

ATLboy postings
As you might imagine, I liked his razz of Evanie more than Berntie.
The biggest ironing is that Berntie cited his credentials and ATLboy seems to be chipping away at his facts.

Re: Okay, which one of you posted this?
Excuse my excitement , given the inherent dangers of going around , underslung engines , somatogravic illusions , fatal software flaws and pilot stupidity I thought I was going to witness an amazing TOTAL AIR DISASTER!!!! …and if a train came along…it couldn’t stop… Gabe: A340s climb fine. It […] appears to be made of metal Indeed, good point. Did it It fail because it loved to throw new, previously unknown problems at pilots ? I suspect it has something to do with the relatively-oversized nose cone. It probably does not_contain software and therefore no fatal flaws.

…and to be serious…
We have a very plausible theory behind this incident, given by an insider, who lives the dream. (Muchos gracios!)
We established, long ago, that Air Bus (and pretty much every other airliner) is a fatal-logic, did dieding machine.
