Re: How are baby airplanes made?
Food for thought.... TCAS warnings are indeed inhibited at low altitudes otherwise you'd get them on every landing In those conditions (freezing fog) the SWA undoubtedly had to line up and then perform a standing takeoff where he performed engine runups/ice shedding before releasing the brakes. This...

Fruit and pizza is an abomination However, that's nothing compared to the unholy carnage of mixing Fruit and Beer. I went to my favorite microbrewery and mixed in with God's anointed libations (IPAs) I actually saw a watermelon sour ale. I mean honestly, does the long fuzzy beard, plaid shirt, skinn...

Re: No one died
I was in and out of JFK on that night. The wind was relatively strong out of the southeast off the water and it was bringing in continuous banks of maritime fog. You'd get occasional periods of better than 5000RVR and then 5 minutes later it was 1000RVR. We briefed a CAT II Autoland but the problem ...

I don't know.....the food in the A gates terminal kinda sucks.
On my last layover, my run got screwed up because they've dug up the whole park around the arch.
On the bright side, you can still see the old TWA schoolhouse building when departing 29

Well, I'm here in Nashville and the 717 is sitting here on the ramp undergoing an engine change, so I'm guessing that there's more going on than 'turbulence' causing the cowl to fly off.

Sorry J, but I'm going to have to 'one-up' your story........I mean who amongst us hasn't peed all over our fellow passengers once in a while (CNN)—A passenger on a Portland, Oregon-bound JetBlue flight is accused of urinating on fellow travelers, seats and luggage. Jeff D. Rubin, 27, slept through ...

I am aware of at least two dual engine failures at my airline over the years.....both of them were operator error induced.
In a similar vein, perhaps this airliner continued its flight because there was nothing 'wrong' with the engines when they were shut down

Sorry, my last SAV leg was in mid january. Watched the Seahawks beat Carolina and enjoyed the free hotel breakfast the nex t morning. On the 25th I was flying MCO-LGA-MCO and watching the company slowly cancel all the remaining legs of my trip due to the impending Snowmaggedon. Upon arrival at MCO I...

I've actually had a few troubles with the -90 doors (no problems with the -88s). They have very quickl...
