Attention! airdisaster.info - an update

The board has moved to a very cheap hosting provider - where I plan to mothball it. Essentially it will grow old gracefully, it may get admin attention from time to time, it may not. If you have things you need to save or keep (contact details from PMs, etc) then please do gather them up and make a ...

Would you like to run ad.info?

All, I want to hand over administration and control of ad.info to another safe pair of hands over the next few months, as unfortunately I no longer have the time to maintain or administer the service. If anyone would like to take up the reins please contact me. You will need to be able to host it. I...

I wonder if he was targeting individuals/family group that was known to him or randoms. If randoms, its an odd place to have an episode.

My flight year was incredibly dull. The lowest number of hours since 1996.

1x 380 LHR-SFO
1x 744 SFO-LHR
1x LHR-LIS-LHR in a 320
1x STN-GLA-STN in a 319

Per, is that the nasty invasive type of starfish or the friendly local kind? Don't know, it was a by catch. I'm no expert on starfish, but this one had an unusual pattern. Per My wife walks by and she's like "ooh, what's that?" "It's Per" I reply "The Ancient Mariner" ...

Thank you SIckbag! I read the media report about squid "displacing" cod on the nation's menus and I guffawed - someone is trying to troll the right wing press. (I love squid, prepared one just last week, it had eaten a tiny anchovy or whitebait before being killed, the fish was still in th...

- 4bn is excessive - even though the 170m pre-plan design contract is let, I forsee another 300m on the design of the thing. As FB says, ground up no carry over, fresh beats. - 200-400m will go on the spare parts, storage of such and the long tail of support - 400-600m will be in pre-planned overrun...

Re: Where next for airdisaster.info?

I've been meaning to say this... I don't like our new livery. The bullet hole (or is it the procedure for making a smoking hole in the ground?) for "AD- dot -info" just doesn't do it for me. It really needs to be a Jetphoto...I don't care about the sharpness, nor dust spots, but good comp...

Re: Seen there: How to stop tired stupid pilots from crashing.

It's normal for members of the public to assume that because something is available to the consumer that it should be industrialised, installed, , configured, maintained and optimised as a matter of course. Why do we so readily forget that people are stupid and don't think out the consequences of th...

Very nasty near miss in CN: China Eastern A333 at Shanghai on Oct 11th 2016,

China Eastern A333 at Shanghai on Oct 11th 2016 - not a duplicate of Tenerife by any stretch of the imagination but a similar premise, and could have been really, really horrible.
