Re: US debt crisis
The media has done a great job in demonizing the Tea Party. Have you ever read their principles and what they stand for? I bet most people haven't. And I would also bet most Americans would agree with the majority of those principles.

Re: Air France jet missing
In the airplane with 50 screaming passangers in the backIke, did you do this high altitude stall training in the sim or in the airplane?
I'd image this kind of training is done in the simulator...

Re: US debt crisis
It's just that I believe that the tea party may be slightly on the reactionary side, and while they may not openly say so, they still dislike people who are not their color. I can't really say anything about Obama's professional abilities or disabilities - he's just vastly popular in Europe, but we...

Re: Southwest Convertible.....
See, Putt4Par, that's why I don't answer stuff anymore. I end up arguing with two-bit bagchuckers who failed as a moderator about what's deep and what's not so deep. Not worth it, man, just not worth it, even for someone who makes as little as I do. All I wanted to know what the general procedure f...

Re: Southwest Convertible.....
Here's a question for DP or FB: so you get an alarm in the cockpit indicating you are losing pressurization. Could you briefly describe the procedure in the cockpit? I'd imagine you put your masks on right away before you even find out if it is a faulty alarm. Then evaluate the situation...possible ...

Re: EMAS or "Near Total Airdisaster"
NTSB CVR Transcript Interesting read. Keep in mind that with brakes set waiting out the delay , the 'non flight rleated chatter' would not be considered a sterile cockpit violation. However, this is being played all over the news as a "sterile cockpit violation"...you know, for shocking v...

Look at this...a fare from YYZ to LAS return: U.S Agriculture Fee 5.14 Air Travellers Security Charge (ATSC) 7.94 Agricultural Fee???? What is that for? to pay for insurance in case the airplane crashes and destroy some crops in Oklahoma? ATSC??? So it costs me $7.94 to go through the metal detector?

As much as I can't stand those slow people trying to shove huge bags in the overhead bin, this is way too much. You go on vacation and have to pay almost $100 each way to bring two bags, one carryon and one checked? plus your ticket? If the issue here is to avoid delays and speed things up, there a...

Brazilia icing problem
Back in the mid to late 90's (if I remember correctly) there was an incident where a Brazilia airplane did a full roll in midflight over Florida due to icing. It landed
safely. Anybody remember that? Any info on the case # with the FAA?

Re: RJ Captain salary
Good link. Thanks.
In average, how many hours a month do you (or an average pilot) fly per month? About 70-80? Also, how far in advance do you bid for your monthly trips?
Thanks for the answers.

RJ Captain salary
I was watching the Bachelor's finale with my better half last night. The guy is a captain for ASA (I think he's 31 years old) and it got me wonderin'...how much does your typical CRJ captain make? I know, I know, less than me. But seriously, what is the pay range?

So what do you suggest?. Let them build nuclear weapons so that they can use them to wipe out Israel and attack the great Satan (U.S.) as he has promised he will? Where to begin? Contrary to Blair and other neo cons Iran is not building nuclear weapons. They do not want to wipe out Israel.nor do no...

Re: Middle East peace envoy advocates war on Iran
World leaders might have to go to war to stop Iran developing its weapons programme, Tony Blair suggested yesterday. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article7008985.ece What a cunt. Re: DP,FB, new security measures, tell me it ain't so?
Canadian airlines have been told amongst other things, some interim measures due to the latest attack: 1.)Blinds SHALL remain shut when operating below FL180 in American Airspace 2.)Within 1 Hour prior to arrival and inside US Airspace passengers MUST remain seated. (No Bathroom use either) 3.)With...

Re: FAO Dummy Pilot
Just to play devil's advocate, was there really "horrible weather across the us", or was it just a plain old winter storm with snow and gusty winds. Not a problem if you are on the ground, but somehow I think that if you were flying it could have been pretty bad. That is why I was asking....

Re: The US President
Ask him how he squares getting the peace prize with ordering a major escalation in the conflict in Afghanistan. You know, I was just thinking about that. We live in a twisted world. That would be a good question to ask him. But the only one with the balls would be Fox News and we know that Obama ha...
