Re: 300660 t DWT Iron Ore Carrier scuttling

The World Trade Center was somewhat efficiently hauled off to China to be recycled... I know that's a big-ass chunk of iron in that boat- and I would parlour-assume worth breaking up an making new steel out of it? Ground it somewhere during really high tide, and cut it up and haul it off somehow or...

All the lutefisk in your bloodstream, CoVid doesn't stand a chance!

In Norway, kids are still making good money cutting cod tongues https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/norway-cod-tongues/index.html Nothing in there about squid. Now there is a delicacy. Reminds me that I have a couple of kilos in the freezer. You can only buy them in season which is January and Febru...

More drama. Bunch of elderly, drunk and noisy Germans on the night train from Hanoi to Da Nang. How do I make them stop without mentioning the war? Or beating them senseless?

Re: Vacation 2020

Just some info. A350 is just like any aeroplane, just a lot better than the B787. The ship from Doha to Hanoi had the markings of LATAM and I noticed some Portuguese on the lid on the litter box in the lavatory. Different IFES and seats as well. No drinks spilled in the cabin, by me. All food, which...

Supply, anchor handling.
Will bring all sorts of supply, including liquids to platforms and can position the platform's anchor as required to keep them in position. Dangerous, requires skilled and fearless crew. I bet you can find some hair-raising videos on YouTube.

I'm on vacation in the Philippines at the moment, and too deep into a magnum bottle of red to post anything worthwhile. Oh, and that's going to last for another three weeks.
By the way, flying on a BaE-146 tomorrow. Woohoo.
Good to see some activity here.
Welcome back. Cheers!

I'm trying to understand this one. You have a bus stop designed to kill passengers in double deck buses?

Marginally ambulatory and likely to suffer from significant O2 stress at a pressure altitude of 8,000 ft and definitely unfit to sit in the exit row.

You may be close, but I assume, not there yet.
Pffft, I've been hiking at higher.
