The hits just keep coming. The article said $5000 of fuel was dumped but what about the cost of the fuel burned on the approximately 2-hour flight, having the plane out of sequence to operate its next flight out of IAD, crew costs, extra crew lodging, a bag of peanuts for the coach passengers, etc. ...

Re: Good For Delta - Crackdown on Comfort Animals

I'd say charge this emotionally-compromised woman for the 2-hour delay. Can you imagine the law suits if the squirrel bit someone? I once saw a Boeing study that said a flight delay costs $10,000 per hour. (An in-flight shut down costs $500,000) Woman kicked off flight over emotional support squirr...

On the FlightAware site you can move the horizontal slider beneath the chart to reenact the flight. There must have been 10 orbits SW of JFK.

Delta 767 Blows its Flight to CDG

Delta flight blows tires during emergency landing at JFK airport Without quoting Fox I'll just note that the EWR-CDG Flight 20 diverted to JFK on September 24 after experiencing "hydraulic failure." The plane landed heavy and a couple of main landing gear tires failed. http://www.foxnews.com/travel...

The autopilot supposedly tries to compensate with left rudder. Shortly thereafter #1 fails, the auto pilot shuts off and the plane eventually...
