Re: I am tired of hearing about unstabilized approaches...

No-flaps approaches have different reference speeds, different braking requirements, etc. If you haven't briefed this (which you won't have), unless there's some reason to the contrary, like a mess of cautions about hydraulics, you should go around and do the proper preparation. Re: B-52, It keeps going and going...

Yes; the existing eight engines add up to less than two of those PW4077s.
Less thrust or less explosiveness?

Rabbi O'Genius - Editing Advice

There are some very excellent ideas. Seeing as there are so many, why not have separate logos for the different threads. Surely, we can include lifejacket man in one of them http://media3.s-nbcnews.com/j/MSNBC/Components/Photo/_new/090115-USAirway-hmed-535p.grid-6x2.jpg Nice new logo but you need t...

Re: B-52, It keeps going and going...

From a pure thrust perspective you could probably get away with two... Hell. why not with one? Just stick a Saturn rocket or some such on its back (3MT-style) and off you go! Why not zero? It would make a really badass glider, considerably decrease maintenance costs and points of failure and, more ...

Re: Scientific Engineers Botch Sinks, Lavatory doors.

This is a clickbait article about a non-issue. How many "extra seats" are really available from a slightly smaller lavatory? Few inches from the lav, few inches from the galley, few inches from thinner seat backs, and suddenly you have an extra row = 6 sears = 5% more revenue which, at the same ope...

Are there other domains that we should avoid linking to?
Small quotes of text are ok from most websites.

Evanie, there:
If I had an airline and found that one of my pilots had lost speeds, failed to execute the established procedure (where nothing prevented it) and rode it out without incident, that pilot is going to be physically punished.
Fixed?

You are very welcome to quote from them and indeed any source. I would rather not have traffic links to the fox domain from airdisaster.info for several reasons, primarily I do not want to generate any traffic to their site from this one. I also do not have the time or inclination to create an obfu...

Re: Iran: ATR 72-500 down

Still not in AVHerald.
it’s seeming like ATRs are death traps (at least in relative terms).
All aeroplanies are deathtraps in Iran. They had just bent an F100 two days ago... Maybe they should ban all aeroplanies.

Chaps, as a point of order, please don't link to Foxnews.com from this website. Thanks. Sorry, I read the report in Spanish in a local newspaper and Foxnews was the first result in English when I googled. I blame both Google and 3WE. I think you and/or Flyboyie were surprised some time ago when Evanie showed a sense of humour. It has happened again!

Bad for LH - Not_crackdown on kids

http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2018/02/1 ... video.html

While a disability may be behind this particular case, I will say it again: Kids should travel caged, muzzled and, if possible, in the cargo compartments.

Thank you for that insight. (AND the cool acronyms!)
If it lands upright (and with the gear extended, hopefully), it senses WOW. If it lands upside down... does it sense MOM?

Re: I am tired of hearing about unstabilized approaches...

I just want to understand THIS procedure: "Should we stop monitoring airspeed" "Yes". Sometimes, when I notice something wrong and I don't know how/ want to fix it, I turn my attention away and wait for it to fix itself (or fail catastrophically) . Maybe there's an aeroplanie equivalent of that pro...
