Maybe now the shimmy dampeners will Not_be the primary cause of 737 TOTAL LANDING GEAR DISASTERS!!!!!

…and TeeVee asked a most-awesome lawyer question: “Has Evan ever screwed the pooch on anything?” (Or as I like to say, has he ever fallen off his bicycle…something that gives most of us a little perspective on being human). I'm 101% perfect and still have fallen from my bicycle due to external fact...

TeeieVeeie...

...asked Evanie about his background . We didn't get an answer (as usual) . Berntie thinks he may be a Q400 pilot . I do Not_ (I think Evanie's avatar shows the view from a passenger , Not_cockpit, window ... but, above all, I would find hard to believe the Dash 8 Not_being in his no-fly list ...) .

Re: Pontificating on hard landings...

With so much debate about what cowmonkeypilots should or shouldn't do in case of a bounce I now understand McDonald's Douglas' solution for the DC-10/MD-11.

Forget about threadmills for a moment...

Gabie , there : In general no. It is a myth (at least in airliners) that bounces are the result of hard touchdowns or that hard touchdowns result in a bounce, as many super rough landings with no or minimum bounce can attest. Oleo-pneumatic shock absorbers in transport category planes are close to ...

…and if a train came along…it couldn’t stop… We could have had that ultra-rare combination of a TOTAL AIR DISASTER and a TOTAL TRAIN DISASTER* at the same time! Re: Okay, which one of you posted this?

Excuse my excitement, given the inherent dangers of going around, underslung engines, somatogravic illusions, fatal software flaws and pilot stupidity I thought I was going to witness an amazing TOTAL AIR DISASTER!!!!

Fake, jet engines are started by throwing lit matches at the intake. What is shown in the film is the procedure for lighting the afterburners, which the F9 Cougar didn't have  :x .
