Re: Ethiopian 737

Most posts I post either here or there. Some select posts I double post here and there. I think this video is very interesting and relevant for this subject so I posted in both fora. There is no 3rd forum or beyond. Your selflessness and dedication to serve your fellow man deserve much admiration. ...

Re: Ethiopian 737

Mentour's deleted video is back!!! Well, sort of... Now it is a "generic" video about miss-trim condition with stuck trim wheel due to aerodynamic forces, any similitude with the Ethiopian 737 MAX MCAS accident is a mere coincidence, or is it? The "couch" part of the video is totally new and doesn'...

Re: THERE HAS BEEN A NEAR-TOTAL NOTRE DAME DISASTER!!!!!

I was surprised to hear a French official (I'll see if I can find who) state that they have "ruled out arson" WHILE THE FIRE WAS STILL ACTIVE! Heck, an arson investigation can take weeks sometimes, how in the blazes (pun fully intended) did they rule it out so early?

Re: FAO: Gabriel; Why don't we just unplug MCAS?

But how about some sort of "endorsement" system where to fly the new damn-similar-to-the-old plane, you spend maybe 2 hours in a classroom and 1/2 hour in a sim, being instructed on what's different about this plane vs. the one you were previously rated on? "We" do that already, but thanks for the ...

Re: 727 Troubles, Latest News.

Yes! Was going to ask if it was him after reading that post from PPrune. Was it something about having or Not_to make a refuelling stopover?
Something like that. He also reiterated a few times that he was PIC, and, therefore, beyond any kind of reproach.

Re: 727 Troubles, Latest News.

He was indeed a member at AD.com, and I recall him getting into a bit of a tiffy with NAV5 when he (AirDave) took his 727 to somethingstupidthousand feet, while NAV5 gently suggested that maybe that wasn't the best course of action. He vanished shortly thereafter. I like the pprune post, because "we...

The AoA indicators will still be optional.
But they will be included on the 737 MAX GTS Package which will also include leather-wrapped control yokes and carbon fiber cockpit armrests.

Re: Ethiopian 737

SINGAPORE, March 29 (Reuters) - U.S. and European regulators knew at least two years before a Lion Air crash that the usual method for controlling the Boeing 737 MAX's nose angle might not work in conditions similar to those in two recent disasters, a document shows. Ok- the more I read that wonder...

I have a beautiful plan.

This is based upon some purple A-321s that may be available for purchase.

Stand by for more...
Them purple airplanes are already spoken for, at least I suspect so.

For those who don't know, Ornstein is one of the true penny pinching, slave driving, piece of garbage airline CEOs out there.
The more things change, the more Mesa still sucks.

Maybe a targeted personal ban is what you need HB.

I'm not walking to Chile again.
Not Karl has sworn profusely that he is NOT HB. Just FYI.

Please briefly describe your training and rules of thumb for handling passengers who may appear to be in bad health. Thanks in advance. You don't get it. That girl is nowhere close to 6' 4". Can you see how her femur fits between the backs of the seats? Mine doesn't, whether I put my ass on the seat or on my back doesn't make a difference. This should solve most of your problems, especially since you now have some 747 sim time. htt...

Its Done https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/14/airbus-a380-superjumbo-the-rise-and-fall.html Frankly, I thought it was done when FedEx canceled their order. When an airplane that large can't be efficiently operated even as a freighter, one get serious doubts if there is an economic case for it at all.

Every pilot always has a 1st landing in every new type they fly. And it never ends like this one did (i.e. in a good but not perfect landing).
Never?
