Re: Flyover, but with banjos...

Perhaps this is Slavic superstition on my part, but I was never a fan of naming things after living people.

Hard to say who would want to buy it. It isn't really near anything, other than a muddy bend in the Missouri River.
In fairness, isn't that true of all of St Louis?

Question to flyboy: Do you see these taxiway changes from numerous, frequently angled taxiways to a more regular, 90-degree crossing as an important, much-needed improvement.
Not really, I prefer high-speed taxiways, generally speaking.

I would hope that Flyboy's Air Bus activates the fire suppression FOR him so he is free to check in with the Jetphotos Safety Forum.
The Airbus has GUARDED SWITCHES. I recall, Evan the Expert being obsessed with those, too.

Re: Radar Attenuation

Couple things. On the one hand, the Electra has an old-style monochromatic radar that probably wasn't terribly useful for picking out individual cells. On the other hand, this happened during daylight, so it's not like they didn't have a visual on the weather. The part about "everyone deviating...

No.
Because…?
Because it looks like they simply misjudged their altitude. Doesn't look like a "spin" either.

Aw well, Flyboy, Dummy or ITS may have flown somewhere today, if it’s one of their two days/month that they work.

Re: Weather Meltdown 12/22

This does look a bit bad since the storm was fairly short lived, often not excessive in snow amounts and now gone for few days. 1. The storm was active for 3 days, which, in airline terms, is a lifetime. 2. The storm went through the busiest travel areas of the country. 3. Some stations are still d...

Notice the warning cares nothing about what law or lawlessness you're in. It will keep blaring until you unstall the airplane. You're welcome, Gabito, keep on keeping on.

my provisional (meaning not definitive) conclusion is that the stall warning is probably inhibited or non-existing in normal law.
Wonderful. Now read the article again. Carefully.
