Re: What am I missing? A big IL 76

So I see in Wiki, that a wing caught on fire before it went down...reasonably accurate? Well, if a witness recalls seeing it, it must be true. I have no Idea what the multiple contributing factors to this accident were. However, it seems to me that the degree of improvisation involved in squ...

Re: What am I missing? A big IL 76

Ilooked in this forum and in the military one and couldn't find a thread about the IL 76 that crashed in Algeria on April 11th. 257 casualties. What am I missing? Ok Peminu, I'll give it a shot. 247 pax and 10 crew in a plane designed to carry 125-140 troops and 5 crew - I think we could be on to s...

Curious if she was wearing her seatbelt per good procedure? Sorry 3WE, I missed this before posting the same thing  What model of CRJ-2747...the -300, the -700 or the max with the sinks that have hydraulic flow reversals? It seems it was not a CRJ but a B737-700 and the engine was a CFM-56

"Passenger partially sucked out of window" and other injuries.
I wonder whether the passenger was wearing their "seatbelt while seated at all times".

No donkeys involved.
How can you be sure that tugger #4 is not a donkey disguised as a cow?

Re: 787 troubles, the latest news..

All airplanes should have two different engines available from different manufacturers with minimal swap out effort required! Why not have two different engines from different manufacturers actually installed on all 787s? That way you would be certain that one of your engines is the most reliable e...

ROJ: spare rotor blades (total 5!). At the risk of stating obvious things we all know: one might roughly estimate more than 2X odds of a rotor blade flying off versus 2-bladed helicopters...Glad you surviveded. Indeed, Risk analysis is always a case of probability x severity............. .............
