Re: A business proposition to ADInfo.com

Can we make it a policy to fly them in direct law ONLY? (otherwise inverted won't work)
I think that today's world needs a Vegetarian Airline:
- Direct Law on the flight deck
- Coleslaw for the customers

Re: Are we comfortable with how wings work?

A flattish surface moving through a fluid with an AOA is all you need to generate lift. All the other features are just there in order to improve the lift to drag ratio AND a higher max lift AND a more-benign trailing-edge-type stall characteristic AND provide volume for structure, mechanisms and f...

Re: F.A.O.: Tony

Now whether it's simply a flat, barn-door vane shoving air down, or a sophisticated airfoil shape with 23 interacting theorems Kutta this and vortices that and accelerations and suction on top (which does not really exist so it's REALLY "only" the air on the bottom pushing up...but we giv...

Near meteor disaster?

It seems likely that a meteor (or satellite re-entry) disaster has narrowly been avoided.

Air Jamaica 757 @ GEO

Not much detail on BBC, but seems to have returned to GEO with hydraulic problems after departure, then overrun on landing (due to said hydraulic problems?)
