Just got the message from the FAA.
Authorized to take the AT-SAT (Test to see if the FAA thinks Im smart enough to offer me a job).
Doesn't mean too much. Just about everyone who's smart enough to read the qualifications is authorized, so its not that big a deal. But still excited!

Re: The Remains of The Forum
What exactly were the glory days? giving out other peoples phone numbers. I don't think Sammy had to worry to much; it's not like the victim didn't give it out to any single (or not) guy with a pulse.... Ruh roh. Sounds pretty hostile there Eddie. What gives? And whether that statement is true or n...

Sammy, I told you that being a security guard wasn't a career . I sincerely hope that this time you find a job that can be a career . ATC seems to be a great career choice for the new generation aka wiggers . Much like I mentioned to you before, you need to learn the AIM . *Sigh* I've already expla...

Re: United Captain Kicks Flight Attendant off Flight
Indeed. http://www.airdisaster.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2673 Sammy can't be bothered to read the forum. I poured my soul out to him in verse and nary a comment. Hell, even a hearty, "that was useless and stupid," would have at least qualified as feedback. Too many more of these...

Well, I did it
Put in my app at the FAA site for the air traffic controller trainee position.
Hopefully the so-called controller shortage will help me land a good job now that we're bout to retire my precious shuttles here in a couple years and there's a good chance I'll be laid off.
Now the wait begins!!

PMDG MD-11 Wrecked my entire FlightSim
So I paid $80 for the PMDG MD-11 for FS9. Had to update to FS9.1 to get it to even install. After installation, no matter what plane I load, flight sim has a problem and "needs to close". Un-installed the MD-11, and everything STILL doesn't work. Anyone else have a similar experience? I wa...

Re: Aircraft low level over the Hudson escorted by fighters?
Interesting ironing here.
Air Force One, supposed to represent greatness and peace, instead scares the crap out of its own country.
I know its more or less irrelevant, but any word on if it was SAM 28000 or SAM 29000?

Re: US Air Plane down in the Hudson River in NYC
Read an article in Popular Mechanics which suggested that the engines on the A-320 are designed to shut down upon command of the onboard computers if they detect that damage or a malfunction in the engine is severe enough. The article suggested that this is why the engines on 1549 shut down, and sug...

So I Wonder....
Since Captain Sullenberger is pretty famous now. If he decides to return to flying, how do USAirways crews plan on shielding him from fans on all his flights? Because on every flight (that Ive been on at least), the names of the Captain and F/O are announced over the PA. How do they plan on handling...

Re: Hold at Idle Thrust?
What would be the point of holding, that is standing still, above idle thrust? Isn't that just wasting gas and putting stress on your brakes?
