The Isle of Long isn't too shabby in the snow realm either, with twenty seven inches {68.6cm} of the fresh stuff recently.

Re: Cruise advice

With the impending arrival of ships that can accommodate five to six thousand people, many cruises have drastically reduced their base fares. Recently it was possible for a couple to cruise for a week on the Med for eighty bucks a day. That is for the couple, in American dollars. Like airline seats,...

Re: English Electric Lightning Down at FAOB

I flew with Mike B. himself. Because he is a CFI, it was logable time. Less than 2 minutes to get to 61,000 feet. Mach 1.4, aileron rolls, s turns and visibility that extended to the curved blackish horizon. Enough fuel left over to punch it on short final, level over runway and a high G turn into l...

Continental Flight Enroute to KEWR with Dead Pilot

Sometime around noon an inbound Continental airliner is scheduled to land at Newark with a deceased pilot.

This is the same airline that has managed to misroute two small children this week, and is parent company of Colgan.

While you didn't ask me, I did recently get to drive a new Cayenne around a closed circuit with a Porsche instructor with me.

I am very glad I did not challenge one on the open road in my VR4, even on sharp curves....... :D

Worst part of this fubar was decision to keep it secret. Mayor of NYC says he was not informed. This would scream for the Japanese method of apology, except the bright light is Mexican and therefore unfireable.
