Re: Fumes kills pilot

Yeah I've got no problem with giving the oil all the help it needs to keep the engine happy. Apparently it just needs a little help staying out of the cabin. :?

Re: Fumes kills pilot

the little oil leak was gone by the time the mechanics got to it Or the fact they checked the engine at 30000+/- feet lower altitude may have been a factor... Also I found the mention of decades-earlier research on the effect of oil fumes interesting for one specific reason: jets use synthetic oil,...

Well, you know, in aviation there are a lot of strict rules that must be followed. For safety reasons, of course.

Re: Are these flight attendants?

Would that they were! 8-) Interesting note of no importance whatsoever: Abba's "Dancing queen" was the first .mp3 file I ever listened to. It changed my life. Not the song itself which I'd heard 1000 times before, but the fact that sound like that could be gotten from a file with a "manageable" size...

Re: Ejected families, dead rabbits, dragged doctors.

No I meant the opposite: Fedex' and UPS' pricing is straightforward and doesn't change based on who you ask or if you wait 10 minutes. Like it does with the pax airlines.

Imagine that - running an air-transport-for-hire operation without monkeying with pricing to the point where absolutely nobody can comprehend it. What a weird concept!

Re: 737, It just keeps going and going.

With more than 4,600 currently on order, Boeing says it will increase production of its 737 to an astonishing 52 per month in 2018, and as many as 57 per month in 2019.
Of course to a certain participant there, any number > 0 is astonishing.
