Aeroplanie that can no longer fly and has its dangerous wings chopped-off: Safest . I bet it will still fly, briefly, if you drop it from C-130. Aeroplanie that can no longer fly, has its dangerous wings chopped-off and is firmly attached to the ground in a war, volcano, tornado, earthquake, flood,...

Re: April Fools?

Do you have an equation to compute the lift generated by an airplane fuselage? He absolutely does. I think it's "Lift coefficient * AOA * speed^2". There may be radians or something involved. Now as to whether Gabiee has the right lift coefficient for the particular fuselageies at 90-degree AOAs...

Re: Ethiopian 737

SINGAPORE, March 29 (Reuters) - U.S. and European regulators knew at least two years before a Lion Air crash that the usual method for controlling the Boeing 737 MAX's nose angle might not work in conditions similar to those in two recent disasters, a document shows. Ok- the more I read that wonder...

Re: April Fools 2- NEW Yahoo Headline.

...an aeroplanie that can no longer fly ... What is an aeroplanie that can no longer fly? Remember that barn doors and wings with curved upper surfaces which spread out air molecules so the air arrives at the trailing edge at the same time, can still generate great lift. Gabieeee even tries to tell...

Ok...The link appears to be to a valid website where airplanes are advertised. As to the "file photo" they chose...It IS April Fools, but I'm betting someone just grabbed this- none-the-wiser. Head tracking systems (that sync the virtual view direction on the monitor with motion of your head) and 3D glasses provide an infinite-size surrounding monitor (and 3D too for the glasses)
Awesome!

Only going to get cheaper...

Re: A business proposition to ADInfo.com

Not_Karl will run our Argentina operations, and brief the passengers on the perils of flying with us. That wouldn't be good for our business. I'm thinking of a slogan... Re: Ethiopian 737

This mornings Yahoo headlines includes the comment that Boeing's new training programs related to MCAS will not involve simulators. Are we disturbed by this? Re: A business proposition to ADInfo.com

Sounds fine to me. Can we just pull a CB or is there a guarded switch? I imagine there will need to be some work on FCOM and QRH, and training to address type specific deviations from broad fundamentals.

Some un-named aviation forum Someone, there The initial bobble is from turbulence at 6200’. When the FO called for flaps 1, the captain accidentally hit the toga button. I can't count the times my wife blew in and unplugged my yoke and pedals and shuffled them off somewhere and then put piles of papers where my yoke would go. Confusing I think a lot of people fear the computer systems going bizzirk. But always felt that with a Boeing, it’s still a conventional airplane with conventional controls. I fantasize that if you were flying along and unexpected warnings happen, that you pause and evaluate that nothing much has c...

Is it appropriate for the pilots to have a good idea that they aren't really stalled? It seems as though this was a factor in Air France- they didn't realize t...
