Per, when it's done well, it's jolly enjoyable. I once was a refusenik. Now I embrace it.... rather excessively as it turns out.... http://karaoke.org.uk

The Brabazon

I watched a documentary about the history of British Aviation some time ago, and didn't post here about it. One of the things that really stuck in my mind was the story of this beast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=192&v=XSNwQCOXSoo The Bristol Brabazon! I had only been vaguely aware of...

Re: The PROPER way to run an airline.

Things I don't miss: second-hand cigarette smoke everywhere thawb I don't miss that I miss FIRST HAND SMOKING everywhere! And I miss misses. A lot of airlines ares using the same misses of the 70's! :( 1996 - Olympic Air - was my last cigarette onboard an aeroplane. Although I note that Sau...

That's me. Per Per, what exactly is going on in this video - I have no context - but this sort of thing seems unusual. Miscommunication? Equipment failure? Vodka? Could be anything, propulsion/tech failure, miscommunication with pilot, stupidity or vodka. Italian officers probably not, th...

I provide the thrust, monkeys on the bridge decide what to do with it. In this case the monkeys were probably Italians. Surprised they didn't abandon ship ahead of their pax. Nuff said. Re: Southwest engine went boom

Gratuitous speculation 1: Gal partially sucked out- BUT someone ahead or behind her got nailed by a blade. :( Somehow, I wanted to believe that you can be partially sucked out of a plane and not seriously injured- and initial news reports were not saying much about serious injuries and the inside a...

Also apparently this week another Tesla ploughed while on autopilot.
Bizarre accident. The driver appears to have been using the car as one would ride a train. With no regard to the conducting of the vehicle!
