I'm impressed by the genitalia sculpture, particularly the urethra, hymen (good texture) and the vestibule. Wonderful stuff.

Re: BA's NYC to London City non-stop

Got this from BA this morning New routes For more convenient business travel, we’re launching a London City to New York JFK route. With easy access from the financial heart of the city, on board connectivity, and US Customs clearance whilst refueling at Shannon, this is the most productive way to f...

Re: FAO flyboy2548m

Ah yes, good old Baltia. That site's been up for a while. In the past they actually had a 747SP on there with the rooster(why?) on the tail. Now it's a 742, plus a guy holding a repainted Gemini model on the "organization" page. Looks like a fantasy similar to Family Airlines, although slightly les...

Re: Venting question

I'm just trying to ubderstand what you're looking for....... I didn't consider a great big exhaust duct on a tail cone to be a vent on a tail fin...... a vent would be something smaller........ how about you tell us what you saw, type of aircraft....... how about some pictures with arrows pointing ...

Re: Venting question

http://www.b737.org.uk/images/apu_ng.jpg Is that the "tail fin?" Glenn, I am a passenger, not an engineer or industry insider. I think the generic description of "tail fin" for that part of the aircraft is adequate lay-terminology. I greatly appreciate the assistance and wisdom of the collective he...

Re: Venting question

Would a kind soul on here please indicate a generic list of the systems which vent their exhaust gases through the rear exhaust port on the tail fin of many current Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Thank you May I ask why the urgency (at least I seem to detect some) in your question? I have responded pr...

Re: Air France jet missing

TAM pilot reports having seen "burning wreckage" on the BBC World Service just now. (yes my jet lag is bad).
Search area "narrowed down" as a result. Hmm.

Re: Air France jet missing

Locating the wreck: Does anybody know if the US still have a network of sonar buoyes in service? If so, it should be possible to locate the wreck with their data because the impact of the plane and its subsequent breaking up while sinking down should have been recorded by several of the buoyes (the...

** edit: dummy pilot's excellent explanation below crossed in the post ** thank you Would someone care to iluminate me about the "automated message" which at this time appears to be the last contact with the plane. Where did the plane send this information? Air France operations? Airbus? Is this a d...

Re: Venting question

The exhaust gasses from the Auxiliary Power Unit are vented through the tailcone. So they are combustion gasses.
Thanks Verbal. Is that the only system that vents from there?

Re: 747sp in LAS

Sort of, David. I was musing about the presence of a beautiful (and very last) SP made which was hanging around (ha!) at the Harrods Aviation shack @ STN. You then swiftly remarked that I had made an error - and that the planes were Omani, not UAE!

Re: Air France jet missing

9hrs into LAX-LHR on the VS24 this morning I read about this incident on the Sky News IFE system. Instinctively I reached for the window blind to peer down into the ocean and contemplate the unfortunate fate of these folks. At least Air France had the foresightedness to choose a livery which will fa...

Re: FAO Verbal

Thank you. As the 319 that I was in took off I spied it through the window and did so much rubbernecking in order to get a closer look the people around me must have thought I was nuts. It was parked up by the hangar reading "Harrods Aviation" which amuses me every time I see it. It's a most unusual...

Re: FAO Per: All Hail Norway!

I should be more specific, she's a very sexy mid-30s art nude model who specialises in erotica. Not famous as far as I am aware. The shot is a comission for her own private portfolio, she wants my "look" in her book (portfolio). So we'll be doing all kinds of fun! A few Helmut Newton inspired nudes,...
