Re: FAO Halfie MXXLVXXCV

So, we have a thread, what should we talk about? I'd love to hear what you've been up to. Did you get banned from JP? (I don't spend any time over there, so if there's a backstory, I'm completely out of the loop). Yes, I did. For calling Alex the WN hack a dirtbag. That and telling two different mo...

Re: So you want to be a pilot part II

Fair enough. To help me with my understanding, what would procedure be at your airline for dealing with a similar circumstance? Let's stipulate that the decision to divert has already been made. Particularly, I'm curious about who flies the airplane. I imagine it's ultimately at the Captain's discr...

Re: So you want to be a pilot part II

Flyboy: since you're around today, what are your professional thoughts on how our friend, Captain Abend, handled his medical emergency? I wasn't there, I'm not familiar with AA's procedures, it's not my place to second-guess him. If he did anything wrong, his union has a pro-standards department an...

Re: Elections in Zim

Comrade Bob seems to pull out all the stops right now. Local papers report that the notorious Veterans not only have occupied another five white-owned farms (of about 30 left in the country), but they have also started to occupy white-owned houses and flats thereby forcibly removing the occupants/o...

Re: Are MD-80 wiring bundles a common & critical ISSUE?

About "criticity", I guess the right word would be "criticality". The reasons why I used criticity are:
You didn't use criticity, you used citicity, which is what threw me completely. I could have worked with you on criticity. Still drivel, mind you, but not by your standards, I guess.

Re: Are MD-80 wiring bundles a common & critical ISSUE?

Yeah. Flyboy's been banned by more sets of mods than have ever let you post. :P Actually, that's not entirely accurate. I've been banned by the same set (same particular mod, in fact) a large number of times, but he recently advised me that he was just "following orders". I tried to remind him how ...

Impressive list. You´re still my servant, regardless to where you fly. Because I, the passenger, pay your miserable little salary and I´m paying you more miserably any year that goes by. Thinking of it, I really think you missed your vocation as an English Teacher. So, dear passenger, There you get...

A
Tell ya what: That can take you much farther than co-piloting stinky little CRJ´s to stinky little third class airfields.
Somebody better tell places like JFK, ORD, ATL, MIA, IAH, DFW, BOS, YUL etc that they're all nothing but "stinky little third-class airfields".

Re: Are MD-80 wiring bundles a common & critical ISSUE?

I think it's quite strightforward, and not diractly related to the citicity of the wiring AD. What's citicity? An airplane can be airworthy or not airwrthy. Sure. That's why there are cases before NTSB judges at least monthly in which the airworthiness of an aircraft is in dispute. Why they don't j...

However, he might have a slight problem figuring out the lettering and signage. Maybe he could take Pipe along?
Yes, I'm sure Pipe will be of great help. He'll just bring all his Project Tupolev junk and all will be well in the garden.

However, there are 2 airline failures which pilots will not shed any tears for (and some will cheer wildy). One of them went down for the count last week. You're asking about the other.
Amen!

Hey Ike, if you are going to pick on Pipe for his use of English, you might have the grace to do so in German or Portuguese.
I'm just trying to understand him, that's all. Now, if we were on a German or Portuguese forum, you might have a point, but we're not and you don't.

Re: You say you like Go Arounds...

Are there SIDs built into your FMS to handle intercepting the radial for you? Or do you need to use the actual VOR itself.
Can be done either way, FMS-generated or raw data, depending on the airline/aircraft.

That´s something to reflect about, especially on this site that has been kidnapped by arrogant pilot hotshots in the past (No, not YOU, Nav!!!) with egos the size of an A-380 and reality awareness from FL470 up. Pipe, just how does one kidnap a website? Also, what exactly are you referring to when ...

Concur with Gerry and sickbag. I find it funny that the flyboy (and certain others) who have expressed a desire to keep the past in the past are bringing up things from days old. Again- if you dont like it, leave. Its that simple. Dont pull a teenaged power play and say "me or him". Thats childish....

Please forgive me, but I have to ask this question:

How old are you?

From your post above I would have to guess at something under 14.

Grow up, son!
I'm almost 33. How about you, Gramps?
