Re: Candlelight vigil: Sickbag

-snip- I think all agree filling boards up with 'donkey' rubbish is boring and tiresome, we get the point he is quite excited about a para sailing donkey (animal cruelty) whatever floats your boat I guess. I am definitely not "all" then, and I have the hunch the biggest trap (for not sayi...

Re: Why remove my aviation posts?

I removed all your crap, maybe I should have just moved all your crap to this board and filled it up with your donkey garbage??? Excellent moderating, Marty. Real even-handed and unbiased. Amy would have been proud of you. Unless its aviation related I either moved all his threads here thus filling...

Those high AoA passes are critical maneuvers, slow and low...

I read somewhere that one engine had stalled ("popped a few times"), in such a situation that would be unrecoverable as far as I understand.

Killing the crabs is much more easy if you just put them into boiling water, they suffer less and shorter, I find the meat tastes better (as they have no time to produce significant levels of stress hormones?). Not an expert on this, so take with a grain of salt, but these were my results in tests w...

Ballistic Parachute Again...

just stumbled over this POV (and aftermath at the end) vid from 2006, a German GA guy deploying the chute after running into a glider tow cable, looks like one or both of the two guys screwed up royally, but I bet the author at least was happy to have survived after being so lucky as to avoid the in...

At 1,000m (3,280 feet) both engines failed...
that is from 14 Jan 2002, nothing to do with this accident, there is no indication of engine failure here.
Indeed, just had mentioned the "Omsk Glider" incident as it was the same plane involved. Sorry for the confusion created.

We had it on the morning televised news: Apparently a Tu 204 made an emergency landing near Moscow, severely injuring two of the 8 crew. The plane is reported to having had hydraulic problems the day before and was on a passenterless ferry flight. THe same airframe had problems earlier in 2002: http...

Indian Air Show a/c Crahes Into Populated Area

Looks an Indian Navy jockey lost it during an airshow, the 2 pilots dead, unknown # of injured on the ground. R.I.P. both ... Type unconfirmed, but from the vid it seems to be a Kiran, given the importance of the show I would not be surprised to see a major navy team involved, probably "Sagar P...

How right I was :) Actually, this is a disaster for Obama, as he now cannot "negotiate" Iran out of preparing to go nuclear because of lack of aa resolution, and it will probably make a war (at least a - n Israeli? - strike vs the installations) almost inevitable. I had difficulty underst...

I have worked on that question for now 3 decades, I voted put it down, but it is a ridiculous question as it is, so the answer will be as well. Here my takes: 1. It depends on gender: Women do not look at how it is positioned, and consequently get a kind-a-shock out of when their booty touches the c...
