Re: FAO 3WE

I didn't pay for the ticket :)
Depends on how much your company, a friend, family, the taxpayers, etc. paid for the ticket, then  .
Client of my company. And seeing as we're looking at traditional - adjusted back to 1950's prices using the CPI £270 return.

The real Flyboy2548m

OK So having met the notorious Ike, how does he compare to his on line persona. Well I can tell you the real Ike is very humble and self efacing and is now trying to clean the coffee off his monitor. Actually there's three words I would use to describe Ike. Friendly, Honest and Happy. There you go I...

Vintage Mercedes transfer with a uniformed driver who met me at the arrivals, escorted me to the staff car park and was great company on the drive in, even stopping on the way to the hotel to get dinner - and all for the price of a Chicken Ceaser Salad and a couple of Iced Teas! What better way to s...

FAO 3WE

Yesterday after ariving at the airport, I walked straight up to an open desk and dropped of my three pieces of checked luggage. I went swiftly through the airlines reserved security channel without any queing whatsover. After sitting down in the lounge, I was politely asked if I would like any food ...

Re: BA 777 @ LHR

However, I would still like to know if there were any notable bumps, rolls, pitch changes, speed changes, yaws that might "slosh" the fuel shortly before the alleged ice clog occurred. Yes There was also a pilot response to a stick shaker which may interest you, but if you want to know ab...

Re: BA 777 @ LHR

Will you read the f***ing report you lazy git!!! Hell no. The report is full of boring, technical stuff, while this thread is GREAT READING! It has pictures and skimps on the technical stuff when analysing ice accumulation, admitedly it has some technical descriptions of how the fuel system works -...

Andy can also just tell me when he's coming, so that if I finish a trip at the same time, I can just give him a ride to midtown. Just a thought. I'm on VS45 scheduled to arrive JFK 15:05 local on Sunday. I'll be around for a couple of weeks, so if you (or anyone else for that matter) fancy a refres...

Re: BA 777 @ LHR

Flyboys three points: 1) The ice isn't all that reproducable. 2) Zillions of hours of flight with no indications of significant ice problems, single tank blockages, or single engine failures. 3) Then it happens essentially simultaneously. So...... Is there any discussion of "noteable" acc...

Re: BA 777 @ LHR

Ike says that until the AAIB can reproduce the conditions they claim existed and obtain the result they say those conditions caused, their theory is just that. So is mine. If and when they do reproduce the above, I will gladly concede I was wrong. Interestingly enough, with the current verdict nobo...

Glad we got that sorted - it takes care of the THY at Amsterdam too - no post crash fire there either with an under power crash into soft wet grass covered soil. Slight difference, Andy: on the THY airplane the gear struts didn't go through both wings thus didn't rupture a tank each. Thank you for ...

So what, OSL has it next to baggage claim, just a glass wall and a door between. You can actually walk through tax free to baggage claim. Tax free on arrival. Clever.

Re: BA 777 @ LHR

Absence of fire does not equal absence of fuel. Perhaps. But it sure doesn't help the case for the presence thereof, does it? Sooo..... you are okay that the absence of fire doesn't automatically mean absence of fuel, just that it doesn't help the prove that it was there. So lets also discount that...
