The world is crying its a terror event, but we won't know till the final report.

Indeed
- the ass-hat speculative conclusions seem much stronger than normal.

...the plot thickens... Today, I see inferences that this is a worker-inspired slowdown with political and funding motivations. Monchavo may have to move this to the political forum ...I'm suspecting this will improve the approval ratings for a certain US candidate for El Presidente.

Re: Flydubai Flight 981, 737, Rostov-on-Don, Russia

Or possibly something much more basic like a shorted or stuck switch? I imagine the FDR probably records whether the pilot(s) were commanding trim movement (as opposed to the command coming from some sort of automatic system) but I doubt it has the ability to detect whether someone was actually app...

Dare I suggest a $20 word? "Microsleep" (no, not as a single, primary cause, but as something that's kind of plausible and potentially significant).

Carries more buttocks.

Thus, the pilots feel they should share the additional income when they twist autopilot knobs.

Please avoid relentless pull ups and pay attention to procedures, I'd hate to have my tomato plants smashed and burned. Kerosene, fire and smoke is a good pesticide... or so they say. I wonder what, if any, was your answer to that comment.
I'm sure he said something to the effect that, "My discussion-forum friends Gabby and 3BS and Obscure Aviation Typists magazine say that we should be doing more hand flying, not less."

Re: Where next for airdisaster.info?

I've been meaning to say this... I don't like our new livery. The bullet hole (or is it the procedure for making a smoking hole in the ground?) for "AD- dot -info" just doesn't do it for me. It really needs to be a Jetphoto...I don't care about the sharpness, nor dust spots, but good compo...

We need to do something!

I'm not feeling the LUV

Southwest Airlines Co. pilots, frustrated after four years of unsuccessful contract talks, asked the carrier to guarantee it won’t force them to fly Boeing Co.’s newest 737 before the plane is negotiated into a new agreement for the 8,000 workers. Adding the 737 Max before it’s listed in a labor de...

Re: Another airshow incident. PDK Peach Tree

Not sure if your video shows much in terms of identifying potential causes. According to a talking head this AM, "It appeared as if something broke on the airplane causing it to suddenly go out of control." I wonder what the count is up to now for air show crashes where something broke on ...

Re: F.A.O.: Flyboy

For the record, I am aware that the Flight aware has a few inaccuracies with respect to weather and aircraft location. And mildly surprised that our 50,000 hour pilot took the bait. In his defense, I'm sure that boxes don't check their smart phones and question their pilots regarding storm avoidance.

Planted some veggies in the garden. Did you damage the environment in any way? Indeed . Pesticides and synthetic fertilizers are involved, as is the raping of the soil with greenhouse-gas-producing rototillers. Plus, my mere existence as a human is bad for the environment. ...That being said, my im...

Friday the 13th, May, 2016, A great day.

Mostly sunny, deep blue skies and 75F. Planted some veggies in the garden. Drove past the Spirit of Flyover airport and caught the Blue Angels practicing for tomorrow's air show. I maintained decent SA and did not have a total driving disaster.

It's too bad our friend from the other forum isn't here to explain to us why the *real* cause of this is the fact the aircraft was an outdated, non-FBW, and therefore UNSAFE model. 8-) Not too long ago, flyAirbusboy made a somewhat heartless post about the 'true DC-9' 15-50s needing to be put out t...
