Re: I hate Vector for Food! (Flight report)

How shall I film things if a passenger gets zip tied? Should I offer to assist the crew, since I have a PPL? DO NOT start filming when the incident begins, wait until the crew gets physical with the passenger, so it looks like they're being unnecessarily violent no matter if they were or not. BY TH...

Re: I hate Vector for Food! (Flight report)

Did you survive downwind turns ? :o Hopefully, I will only have photos of orange juice on a seat-back tray to share, instead of near-total-disaster-go-arounds! Kindly take vertical, short, shaky, blurry video footage of people screaming if a T otal A ir D isaster is imminent. Thanks in advance.

Re: I hate Vector for Food! (Flight report)

2010? (I had written a lenghty, comprehensive, extremely intelligent and humorous reply concerning flight radar captures after such a long time, reminding that antique 737 s are the ones to crash in every single go-around and that Airbuses get UAS in 99% of the flights , and then brill-yun...

Re: Flight Report Bragging Hijack

One in that last category I've never been attracted to is the Boeing 377. I think that one falls into the helicopter category where it doesn't actually generate lift, it's just so ugly the Earth repels it.
I blame Verbie.

Stuff I'm more proud of: 707 to Dayton and back. 747 from MSP to LAX and back and from Flyover to hooowaii. BAC-111 from Flyover to PIT Shorts 330 Twin Oetter Ozark DC-9 from Flyover to LAS via DSM and KCI Southwest airlines from two states away to DAL...via Lubbock. Book tickets separately, get su...

Ban all engines!
I have to give ABC news minor props in this case, at least they're not calling it an "engine fire": http://abcnews.go.com/US/southwest-flig ... d=53370803
Wrong.

Re: I am tired of hearing about unstabilized approaches...

No-flaps approaches have different reference speeds, different braking requirements, etc. If you haven't briefed this (which you won't have), unless there's some reason to the contrary, like a mess of cautions about hydraulics, you should go around and do the proper preparation. Like this: http://a...

Yes; the existing eight engines add up to less than two of those PW4077s.
Less thrust or less explosiveness?

Rabbi O'Genius - Editing Advice

There are some very excellent ideas. Seeing as there are so many, why not have separate logos for the different threads. Surely, we can include lifejacket man in one of them http://media3.s-nbcnews.com/j/MSNBC/Components/Photo/_new/090115-USAirway-hmed-535p.grid-6x2.jpg Nice new logo but you need t...

Re: B-52, It keeps going and going...

From a pure thrust perspective you could probably get away with two... Hell. why not with one? Just stick a Saturn rocket or some such on its back (3MT-style) and off you go! Why not zero? It would make a really badass glider, considerably decrease maintenance costs and points of failure and, more ...

Re: Scientific Engineers Botch Sinks, Lavatory doors.

This is a clickbait article about a non-issue. How many "extra seats" are really available from a slightly smaller lavatory? Few inches from the lav, few inches from the galley, few inches from thinner seat backs, and suddenly you have an extra row = 6 sears = 5% more revenue which, at the same ope...

Evanie, there:
If I had an airline and found that one of my pilots had lost speeds, failed to execute the established procedure (where nothing prevented it) and rode it out without incident, that pilot is going to be physically punished.
Fixed?

You are very welcome to quote from them and indeed any source. I would rather not have traffic links to the fox domain from airdisaster.info for several reasons, primarily I do not want to generate any traffic to their site from this one. I also do not have the time or inclination to create an obfu...

Still not in AVHerald.
it’s seeming like ATRs are death traps (at least in relative terms).
All aeroplanies are deathtraps in Iran. They had just bent an F100 two days ago... Maybe they should ban all aeroplanies.

I think you and/or Flyboyie were surprised some time ago when Evanie showed a sense of humour. It has happened again!

Bad for LH - Not_crackdown on kids

http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2018/02/1 ... video.html

While a disability may be behind this particular case, I will say it again: Kids should travel caged, muzzled and, if possible, in the cargo compartments.
