Re: The Eidelwiess affair…
Blah blah blah logic blah blah blah. All I said is that you cited Alpha protection...It was a conversation starter. You used false logic that somehow I had grossly misquoted you because you have to do like Dan Juan and give us the aircraft registration, flight number, date, taxi diagram and a list ...

I saw Gabbieee cite stall protection You are ready for the news outlet. You've got all the misleading quotes skills required. That was not the only thing I cite…. [A, B, C, D…] It’s called hitting the high points, instead of a comprehensive review of possibilities… You should try it sometime. For a...

https://www.facebook.com/share/r/DvSo2XVi63ZpPw4B/?mibextid=qDwCgo The nose over is kind of ‘remarkable’ for lack of a better term. My 172 technique) aside from dragging the loop a bit) was generally better than that. I saw Gabbieee cite stall protection…I dunno, that wasn’t what I’d call a measured...

New video.
Aerodynamics is a strange thing. There’s a video of the Denver WN plane landing. The displaced cowling seems to “relax” but then the other side lets loose, and both tear off as the plane slows. Ban engine cowlings and go back to radial, exploding, piston engines! https://www.facebook.com/share/r/KcP...

”A mechanical issue” caused a WN to return to Denver on or about April 7, 2024:

Blabbering:
Bad ass wind shear/turbulence gets them off course and low…
The next question is if it was so bad they couldn’t climb out, or if they vapor locked and fumbled the go-around.
Repeat: shoulder shrug.

Indeed.. I misread that this was for utopialectriclocos.Or how about... real afterburners?Real afterburners in dinosaur/plant-juice-less electric motors usually result in reduced lifespan. Why fake? Didn’t your spin-out link also include a fire-belching exhaust stack?

Some talking heads. https://youtu.be/4T9m1GF2Fys?si=vm09ChfwGwMQSV2i Certainly some tough weather, but also the crew seems to have not_flown quite right. Shoulder shrug. Re: "Negative, Southwest, the pattern is full"
This is more interesting than the headlines made it. Someone suggested they were 65 feet above the tower, but I think that’s speculation. Everyone and their uncle was going around- wind shear, visibility. There did seem to be a problem with SW getting on course and climbing, which I would assume is ...

3) Diesel engines make more noise, this is the USA, and we think louder is always better. We could install fake afterburners on electric locomotivies and make them cross a wall of fire and explosions every couple kilocorgis to make them more American . Why fake? Didn’t your spin-out link ...

A bit of ironing, but apparently there’s demand, but no more gates at DAL.
My memory tells me there was one other time this was done or proposed, but it fizzled.

I guess my point is that if it’s soooooooo important to electrify transportation, why is there sooooo little talk and effort on US freight rail? Here are my guesses, in no particular order: 1) No money. 3) Diesel engines make more noise, this is the USA, and we think louder is always better. :mrgre...

I acknowledge a lot of electrical light-urban rail systems, but I don’t see anything happening with freight. Europe has freight trainies with electric locomotivies . Indeed… Especially those Krauts. Imagine what life would be like if you had a small motor & battery pack on each car, to provide per-car "dynamic braking" (regen), and a propulsive boost to get the thing moving from a stop. I imagine it would be expensive. To hell with batteries, just add overhead wires, pantographs ...

One of the things I mention. - ***For traction you only have the traction wheels available. For braking you have all wheels.*** Thanks for the information. Re: More Braking-Related Crashes
I used to run my Toyota Rav 4 up to about 100 and shove the door open. I was mildly disappointed in the braking.
But I do not_infer that a 172 door and a bit heavy and 7000 feet of ‘altitude’ and 10 degrees of flaps eats a lot of the 0-320s effective HP…

Re: Railroad Thread
Cool video. My understanding is that AC systems provide for “easier” traction-control systems and maybe the “rocking” we observed was “fly by wire” and not the engineer switching throttle notches? That stuff always amazes me as my household power tools do not like being stationary with lots of elect...
