Not aviation but avian, which is spelled similarly: https://www.sadanduseless.com/kfc-meme/

Re: The Eidelwiess affair…

Truth is that we have no clue what caused the nose-down input. Micro-meteorite shower pushing the aeroplanie down ? ...let's wait for the final report. CONCUR . There is an almost infinite amount of things that can motivate a pilot to pull up, right or wrong. INDEED . Like stick shaker, stick pushe...

Re: The Eidelwiess affair…

We were told that swept-wing airliners tended to develop significant sink rates if one lowers the nose much... Ban ALL swept wings . ...and that maybe the folks who engineered the plane and the procedures MIGHT know a thing or two. Of course they do ! Just look at them using the finest composite ma...

I tend to agree with Evanie on these ones...

”A mechanical issue” caused a WN to return to Denver on or about April 7, 2024:
Aren't loose, dislodging, falling-off and/or exploding parts usual occurrence for both that aerolinie and that aeroplanie family?

This showed up on my FB feed today. Either Mark Zuckerberg is a lurker, or he monitors my activity on www.internet.com. I love it when I discuss a product with relatives either by chat, phone or in person (but in presence of an El Teléfono Inteligente or similar ungodly device) and then we (Not_ita...

"The toilet of a Boeing 777 overflowed in flight and the smell forced the captain to return to the airport of origin" , titles Argie Media ( Googlie Translated ) where we can also read about crappy Boeing's continued problems Not_limited to crappers. Yes, it says " THE " toilet,...

Re: Railroad Thread

Or how about... real afterburners?
Why fake? Didn’t your spin-out link also include a fire-belching exhaust stack?
Real afterburners in dinosaur/plant-juice-less electric motors usually result in reduced lifespan.

Re: Railroad Thread

3) Diesel engines make more noise, this is the USA, and we think louder is always better.
We could install fake afterburners on electric locomotivies and make them cross a wall of fire and explosions every couple kilocorgis to make them more American.

Re: Railroad Thread

I acknowledge a lot of electrical light-urban rail systems, but I don’t see anything happening with freight.
Europe has freight trainies with electric locomotivies.

Superior Argie Bridge Engineering.

Some time ago, a cargo ship tried to destroy an important bridge here , allegedly due to rudder failure (didn't know Boeing made ships) . The bridge was unscathed . I'm sure this had nothing to do with unimportant factors such as mass, speed, angle , etc of the ship and everything to do with our hel...

[Gabriel links to some brake systems] You are not_addressing the question. Your links are to systems already developed. You offer no discussion as to why sanders aren’t on cars. No acknowledgement that electrical control might be needed for faster response. No consideration as to the engineering, m...
