Re: Almost great night at Flyover International
Thanks for clarifying, I was wondering if you determined it was "night" because the airplane had long shadows...it was dark

This one is GOOD and addresses multiple issues ! I had this video popping up as "Recommended" in ut00b for ages and until now refused to watch it. -Can a dummy land an airliner? As long as they don't encounter adverse climatic conditions (especially icing), stall warnings, engine or syste...

Re: Aviate... communicate... what was that other thing?
Breaking news: Descending is inherently risky! CONCUR . As far as I know, all crashes -aside from flying level into a mountain, failing to lift-off or mid-air collisions/explosions/disintegrations- were at the end of a descent -commanded or not- . How many more tragedies need to happen before desce...

Re: News from the south China Sea
I know how you must all have been worried sick in case I didn't died INDEED . so you may now be relieved (if necessary). Indeed (I infer that you didn't died) Nice new, clean, lightly loaded (half empty) S92 Oh, a twin . That's why you didn't died. Now that I'm stuck on a rig in the South China Sea...

Re: SIA 777 on fire...
I suppose the 'illuminati' at the other place would find the fire behind the engine over exposed the window frame visible on the right and yes, ideally it would be "cropped" to show more ahead and below of the engine and closer to the 1/3/-2/3 composition rule, but hell, it's just a cell ...

I've always said that old people should be processed into Soylent Green . I know this movie. I didn't watch it, but know how it ends. That is annoying. The same goes for The CItizen Kane  . Maybe I should try to erase my memories with alcohol (preferably away from woods and airports) .

Re: Sully, the movie
A ~4-minute incident gets blown up into a ~90-minute Hollywood movie. Well, they have to show us the family life of the protagonists, how they started another "normal day", etc. Then, the 4 minutes will last at least 45. Of course, I say all this from my little experience with Hollywood m...

Re: EgyptAir Flight MS804
Both FDR and CVR were damaged and were sent to France for repairs. Late Jun 27th 2016 Egypt's CAA announced (mirrored by the BEA in the morning of Jun 28th), that the French experts at the BEA Labs were able to successfully repair the electronic boards of the flight data recorder, subsequent testing...

I don't really like yellow, but again I find its horridly lurid livery to be kind of attractive and way better than boring eurowhite. Maybe I caught the Braniff Syndrome from Not_Dad .How do you like this one?

I guess I should check in over there... You really should. You'll learn that this is just like TWA800. No missile this time, the fire was caused by the passengers's clapping : While passengers broke into clapping and cheering and the aircraft turned off the runway, a spark was seen at the right han...

Should I be worried that I find this livery attractive ? https://c3.staticflickr.com/8/7357/26955630794_f7e2948704_z.jpg Am I so fed up of dull, boring white planes that anything different gets my attention ? which means if the brakes get above 300, all there is to do is sit and wait until they chill a tad. You could always send rampies to blow them cool... Funny you should mention that.
