Not_Karl and I had an exchange about the Wiki article several months back, and how it had been sanitized- and it SEEMS it has been FURTHER sanitized since.

At one time, the article referenced the JP Nair affairs AND listed how the membership termed themselves 'refugees' as they moved to JP and Here and a couple other places. I actually thought the listing of new AD-replacement websites was of minor, but valid historical significance.

Last fall/summer/whenever, we noted that the Nair text was gone, but I THOUGHT the 'refugee migrations' were still there OR Not_Karl or someone, put the refugee part back...

But again, it is gone.

Strange*

*Footnote: Of course, "strange" is always the norm...

I was the sanitizer (and also added the link to this forum, those to the abandoned forums had already been deleted); the JetPedos scandal description had been added by Crocodile Dundee (or a fellow countryman). The pre-sanitized version -as well as the "revision history"- can be checked with the provided links (I'm the 190.etc IP).

Speaking of anniversary events, I found this whilst browsing a backup archive just yesterday night.

Yesterday, I noted that AD.com (the information part, not the forum) is a hollow shell.

I'm proud to say I sat next to you!

I am disappointed to this day that I did not meet Al Weaver (he had left by the time I arrived). I have wanted to meet Al since 2004/5!

I blame overuse of the blue gamma filter.

Which coincidentally is the name of my Peruvian cover band of Smash mouth.
