Stupid me. I saw the thread and thought, "Wow, 24 hits just today. Doesn't anybody work?"

So much has happened in a year; I got laid at least, uh, well... anyway, I think I did.

Congrats OSB....you're ahead of Verbie & Halfie....

I don't suppose the admins intend to make a statement on what might have happened. Heck, even Kilroy explained himself occasionally. They might have been bullshit explanations, but at least there were some.

I think a heartfelt thanks is owed to David for allowing this site to be put back online.

I believe this site was found at a depth of 5000 meters in the southern indian ocean.
it was only located after searchers picked up faint sounds of whining from prominent contributors.
investigations are continuing as to how it got there...

I blame this thread: http://airdisaster.info/10/forums/viewt ... f=6&t=4932

Either the Boeing battery thought police thought that we were on to something that spanned aircraft models so that they pulled strings and threatened harm to our hosts and forced the forum to shut down...

OR

...perhaps, post #9 in the thread, from TDS, which contains as much wisdom as all the damn threads at JP and PPRUNE PUT TOGEHTER simply overloaded the internet as wise people, looking for intelligent discussion flocked to this forum.

Anyway- I'm wearing my Aluminum foil hat so Bradley and Verbal can't get me!

Board announcement contains a little info about why we were down for so long. Bringing the site back up was a fairly obscure piece of reverse engineering involving adding six lines of code to a file that shouldn't have been changed. Whatevs. I learned something and we're back now, last few hrs before we backup, shift host and relaunch with a nice new skin.

I suspect donkey and/or squid involvement.
