Diane: Actually, I'd like to join you, but I have class tonight.
Thornton: How about tomorrow night?
Diane: I have class then, too.
Thornton: I'll tell you what, then. Why don't you call me when you have no class?

Gerry is a big boy, at this stage he must defend himself. I'm exhausted, or was that vented?Which is exactly what Gerry did.Stating that others have no class shows lack of same.

Arguing with Flyboy is like throwing an octopus on the wall. Hahaha!!!
Re: Another Old Member Surfaces
By the way, Per, Thanks for defending me.
Everybody knows the meaning of ' To have class'. Some don't want to know it or pretend not to know it, that's why they are 'dummschwätzen'.
I nowhere said I would have class and I didn't brag with my occupation. At least I can say that I probably make double as much as you do, Flyboy, and sooner or later I could make even more. And this only by chopping chops (which isn't even so easy like you think...) But if we make it soon to the US, we can live from the money, without further working, which I made as pork chopper.
There you have it.

Perhaps, but you're still nowhere near as awesome (or classy) as Putt4Par who makes at least five times as much as I do (and that's just with his eyes closed). At least I can say that I probably make double as much as you do, Flyboy, and sooner or later I could make even more.

I have checked with my wife, the expert, and she confirms that compared to this thread her kindergarten is Oxford.

Small children - small problems; Big children - big problems. Simple as it is.Oh, this reminds, gotta get my daughter to kindergarten....
I hate to say "it's him who started-no it's him who started"
But he came with his remark "I am a pilot and you are a chop chucker" And it doesn't need a pilot to make money.
Call it Kindergarden if you like.

Re: Another Old Member Surfaces
Yes, indeed (in terms of getting older).
Oh, come on el, you performed already better. Getting old slowly?
I don't think throwing dirt on someone who passed away recently is opportune but that might be just my opinion (not that you did it).
BTW - that has nothing to do with you, Gerry, and I agree with you it lacks style and class as we used to call it in Austria - don't know what they call in it Georgia. However, this then detoriated even further in a mine-is-bigger-than-you contest, which I personally find a very poor showing.
In my humble opinion this thread shows the lack of what I call "Anstand" (don't know the proper translation - and no bablefish or the likes will do). I wish more people had the "Anstand" which Don showed on several fora even including his (alleged) shortcomings - he was human after all, wasn't he?
"Anstand" doesn't come with qualifications or money, you have it (by education and/or character) or you don't have it.

Re: Another Old Member Surfaces
It's chuck chopper, Gerry, not chop chucker, but I digress. The point you're missing is that this isn't about money. Even if you had $100M in your bank account, you'd still be a chuck chopper. Just like if Wonnzie were the 777 type chief for Air Canada, he'd still be a lying flea. But he came with his remark "I am a pilot and you are a chop chucker" And it doesn't need a pilot to make money.

Re: Another Old Member Surfaces
That's where you and I differ, el. I don't think Don had any anstand (we have a similar term in Georgian, actually), he just successfully made it look like he did, and it seems like most of the forum fell for it lock, stock and barrel. Now it appears he lied about his qualifications, too, Wonnzie-style. I just don't get what the infatuation is about, that's all.In my humble opinion this thread shows the lack of what I call "Anstand" (don't know the proper translation - and no bablefish or the likes will do). Re: Another Old Member Surfaces
is that something to be ashamed or embarrassed about?you'd still be a chuck chopper.
Gerry takes great pride in his work.
He works hard to provide for and support his family.

Re: Another Old Member Surfaces
How about "decency"?"Anstand" (don't know the proper translation - and no bablefish or the likes will do)
space intentionally left blank
Re: Another Old Member Surfaces
Comes close but still to me there is a different facet to the word "Anstand". Nevermind, I'll leave this thread anyway.
How about "decency"?
