I am searching for a picture, but somehow I can't find a good one. I take a lot of pictures, but never of myself. And when Katie takes pictures of me, I make stupid faces,...or is it the way I really look?

Yes!
It was in 2004 when we were in Georgioupolis in the Pilot Beach Hotel. The picture was taken in a restaurant in Georgioupolis.
I knew you would recognize it.

April 2007 - At my 50th Birthday Bash.
(Though in all honesty I'm grinning more on account of the bike than the helmet)

Longish Story. 1973 model BSA Thunderbolt 650cc Ex-Nigerian Police Force. They auctioned all their BSAs back around 1980 (when they converted to BMWs, IIRC) and a local guy bought three..... to make one that worked. I saw it parked outside his hut in Port Harcourt in 1981, and asked if he wanted to sell it. He did, so I got it for £100, and the next year it flew back to the UK - courtesy of a friend with DHL. In 1984 it moved to France where I had it rebored, crank reground etc. However it still had Nigerian (Police!!!) plates and was far from legal in France. It was eventually relegated to the barn and quietly gathered dust. Now that we're in KL, my wife had the brilliant idea of getting it restored and street legal (behind my back) for my 50th. Our neighbour, who is a bike collector/restorer (mainly Ariels) picked up a bent frame and logbook at a bike fair, transferred the serial number to my frame, and bingo, legal at last. He then stripped it completely, bead blasted, rechromed, rebuilt, resprayed etc, and for my birthday I got the entirely unexpected surprise of a helmet??? and then a photo of the restored bike (taken at our house back in France, and incidentally, the exotic tree in the background was what I got for my 40th). It must have taken me a full 10 seconds to understand what I was looking at…..and who says women don’t understand us?

I've got a few pics on photobucket, but hardly any with me in them - I tend to hide behind the camera. Actually, this is about the only one I could track down.

Nice to see you after such a long time! Is "Mr. Sumisid" also an aviation nut? Did you change your home definitively to the Philippines, Monika?

thx! Manzanita Oregon. They have a great fly-in campground there. Total tranquility next to the mayhem of the normal chaotic campgrounds next door...

Well, he's still dreaming about becoming a private pilot  , and there's a flying school right here in Dumaguete..., last time he inquired about lessons they had a "fuel-shortage", I secretly hope that remains so....

Yes, this is our new home, at least until we are running out of money ;) .
