iMac
I have been given a 27" iMac. Oh joy, never has the emperors new clothes looked better, andtt urned out to be so much crap. Anyone uses the iMac keyboard? No numeric keys, no delete key. The things is the size of three boxes of cigarettes and resides at present in the drawer marked "Toxic Waste - Do not open!"

And I didn´t even mention the iMouse which looks like it belongs on some woman´s knickers during that time of the month. Dropped into same drawer as above.

Re: iMac
Someone remind me, quick......what's the goddamned philosophy behind removing the delete key? With an iMac you're so f***ing {(f***-ing you pervert spell checker, you) I said f-u-c-k-i-n-g} perfect that you never make a mistake? You're using you're right hand to wank off, safe in the knowledge that you're in gadget heaven, and couldn't reach the delete key anyway? Why, why, why? Why does people fall for this iCrap? If I want to brag I'd role out my dick, in minus 30C.

The artistic (or autistic?) types probably find the term far too negative (or should that be unpositive?). Be happy that the backspace is still available..Someone remind me, quick......what's the goddamned philosophy behind removing the delete key?

Re: iMac
One thing I've noticed about Apple is that they seem to sell a religion a lot more than a product. It's almost as though you are expected to act a certain way while using or even while being in the presence of an Apple product. Other manufacturers just want you to buy their crap, they don't seem to care near as much if you subscribe to their "philosophy".

Re: iMac
Last month, my defenses finally broke down and I bought a smartphone thingy.
No, not an iPhone, but the latest (as of October 2010) Samsung one. Obviously inspired by Apple, but said to be better.
I rather enjoy it, what with email and internet and all those funny apps, but what makes me mad is when I get a simple old phonecall on it, it doesn't help pressing or touching the green button to answer the phone. You have to stroke it, very gently. Everytime I do that i just hope nobody is watching me. I mean - whoever came up with sh*t like that?
The first couple of calls I couldn't answer 'cause I hadn't figured out what to do, just punched and punched on the green button.
Plus - the thing seems to be accelerating me to nearly the speed of light.
Or why is it that when I take it off the charger with a brimming-full battery in the morning and look at it in the evening, the battery is nearly dead?
According to their technical specs that should have been 260 hrs or so, but for me it were just twelve little hours. What a difference a day makes.

This says it pretty well. http://theoatmeal.com/comics/apple
Samsung Captivate? I have the same one. I absolutely love it, but the battery does burn up in a few hours of continuous usage.Last month, my defenses finally broke down and I bought a smartphone thingy.
