I doubt he understands the subjective secret society of photo screening with crappy artistic talents naturally makes the job nasty.

https://forums.jetphotos.com/showthread ... e-resigned

Of course, this may have nothing to do with being tired of screening.

Taxi speed is 30kts.
I once rode in one of these French-composite-crackerboxes at over 55kts, so maybe taxi speeds are variable (just after a 737 left me in EZE, so completely aviation related!)

Taxi speed is 30kts.
This is why we need TOPMS...no one has a clue as to how fast planes are going!

Footnote: I believe they were using the much slower unit of MPH

We also had a respectable number of those (including taxis), among other Eastern Bloc vehicles cheaply available in the early to mid 90s :D .

3Wie, there:
Going 500 MPH in a 787...it's possible it might hit something (maybe the ground). It hasn't happened yet...It may happen sometime...there will be dead people...but it is a small risk.
Aren't chances of crashing and did dying greatly increased in, say, an A350?
Banning aviation would fix both.
CONCUR.

Gabie, there:
there were precedents of CWT explosions, except the previous ones were easier to investigate because they happened with the plane still on the ground, where a bomb, missile or meteorite was absolutely ruled out.
Fixed.

Awesome thread going there. Bobby returns with his insistence that the center fuel tank did not explode / was not the primary cause.

Maybe we should ask Verbie why he thinks that dumping 3000 PSI on the brakes during an RTO is a good idea.

What happens with fuse plugs in case of meteor impact?
They are warmed (probably quite a lot) by heat transfer processes.

Concur. Numerous questions surround this affair. I have asked for several to be addressed, there, but you may wish to add yours.

Theoretically, the question of "What's it doing now" will not be an issue, unless there is an RTO. If that happens who knows what the brakes will be doing.

One question I have is has Gabe gone through the proper TSA clearance? As a non-citizen, he can't just go into a sim.

Flyboy- you are one royal pain in the butt with all of your attention to detail...sometimes, it's a tad Evanesque (acknowledging that you have a somewhat higher accuracy level).

That being said, I see much irony should Bobby have again messed up on his understanding of how things work...Gabbie might be stuck with only having a couple of flight reports and opportunities to check that the flaps are set for takeoff.

It's not my rules, it's Federal Law, and a procedure that I myself had to go through prior to becoming a citizen. In fact, a non-citizen is prohibited from taking ANY flight training (including ground school) unless he goes through the clearance procedure as delineated in 49 CFR 1552 and elsewhere.

https://www.flightschoolcandidates.gov/ ... section=WN

I suppose BB could argue that Gabe is not getting any "training", he's essentially just joyriding, but whether or not the Feds would buy that, I don't know.

I am surprised that our gubment is guarding simulators or auditing/enforcing an entry log...but the aviation world is surprising.
