Good to see you're still around. I'm just not convinced that people who had post counts in the tens of thousands, or people who craved attention like air, or people who married MB-driving butchers and, or people who lived above a chorizo restaurant (all of whom were also very prolific) would just suddenly stop posting.

Some of the originals were rather identifiable by name, employer and more (and not just Al Weaver and Don Moore) and then the corporate world began taking action if someone said too much or the wrong thing to harm a legal case or PR image...

...I wonder if that may have lead a number of true insiders to outright quit?

Do you have any ideas how airplanes work, or is it all just spider webs and magic to you?

I guess that's always possible. I don't know, though, I get the sense it's not that simple.

Oh c'mon, it's simple! You pull up, you go flying. You pull up relentlessly, and you go crashing.

No, you have to memorize tons of acronyms, rules, regulations and checklists, and then not forget how to fly the damn thing at times when the computer should not- and know how to tell the difference in those times- and then if you get old, you can also be respected.

Well darn, just as we develop a budding friendship razzing Brian and Evan, you go all serious and diplomatic and that questionably accurate, male-menopausal, supposed 747-super-guppy operator, fellow ATP dude suddenly likes you... even though you drive a 'Bus with a magenta line in it.

Even BB can't question solid facts. Notice Evanie's backtracking. Apparently, major Mx and major repair are two different things.

We read that your airplane is getting a new warning system to protect us from the idiocy of mass produced pilots like you.

Could this potentially shorten no-fly lists?

Indeed. Leave it to the EASA/FAA to come up with an AD for one airplane family based on an accident that happened to a representative of another aircraft family with a completely different flight control architecture and a completely different RTL.

Leave it to the likes of Evan to welcome such a decision as a blessing from the very Heavens since every ill in the world can be cured by more regulation.

I guess he's under the impression that military helicopters only operate off the White House lawn, and that the only threat they face is RPGs.

On a related note, I'm starting to suspect there is actually more than one person behind that username. It would explain why some of his posts don't jive with each other.

I wouldn't be surprised. Some of his (their) opinions on overall airmanship level out there are not that different from those of ITS, albeit formulated differently...
