Nothing new here. I just find fun and relevance in:

1) Computer controlled automation (to the extreme) versus a cowboy human
2) Aerodyamics and the stalls of lots of balls
3) Depicted liberal use of cheap composites

This is a bit OT but also in the "Rube Goldberg" spirit...

I've always thought one of the most underappreciated machines was the Teletype. Originally designed in the 1920s, they could convert serial data on a wire to ink on paper with only two electrical (and no electronic) components: a motor and a solenoid.
