For Per / Ancient Mariner, etc.

Here is your declassified copy of ENGINEER PORT REPAIR SHIP

Do you need to reestablish a recently captured port? Do you need to outfit a ship with a machine shop? Use a capsized ship as a support for a temporary bridge? You'll find all here from 1944.

Read on line or download to your computer or tablet.

They forgot to specify how often crew should take a dump, visit a prostitute or pick their nose. Otherwise all bases covered.
No wonder the US Navy need 20 crew to drop an anchor, the chain and all else to the seabed.

Otherwise an interesting read from a time when life was a bit more challenging.

This is a very satisfying video. Amusing. I wonder if the anchor is still there?!

Expensive stuff, they'd try to salvage it.

I imagine anchors are quite expensive. Tell us more about how anchors are made and why they are so $$!!
