Where in the world is that guy running for office?

Sadly, there are different kinds of rape, but the media is too dumb to understand that.

...of course, there are also different kinds of stupid remarks, and as much as I hate the media, they do occasionally get some things accurate.

Sorry, my "where?" comment was sarcastic- and darned if Sickbag's vague, far-out thread isn't suddenly dead-on relevant.

There is a lot of ironing in this.

His Democrat, incumbent opponent (Claire Macasckle-sp) is not popular and the race was considered a clear win for whomever won the Republican primary- which was hotly contested with about four candidates- and which happened just days ago!

Akin's victory was something of a come from behind- as he started out relatively unknown.

However, this guy was considered the easiest to beat by the Democrat- in fact the big ironing is that the Democrat ran primary ad's for Akin that were actually moderately supportive of him!

I guess their strategy was sound.
