I love the choices those USoAmericans have. Pest or cholera.
Good luck with either, or both.

How goes the chainsawing procedures?

The reason for the question is if I needed to move to Norway, and find housing and work. I suspect we could achieve acceptable Chainsaw Resource Management and not fell trees on each other (unless we needed to due to limited band for two folks to access AD.Info from the same location.)

Ulike your presidents our king has no power whatsoever, and considering most of your former and future president I'll take an inbred monarch anytime.

...so whenever I see these folks protesting against Trump, it makes me want to vote for him...

...and because, as stated in an other thread, I think Trump might irritate Evan.

Good, you can keep that figurehead to yourself then. Keep your opinions, too.

Why so angry? Is it because you have to chose between a moron and botoxed hag for your new prez?
Our king is at least good at cutting ribbons and partisipating at export drives. He is even a likeable guy. I have met both him and his wife, you know, the Queen. OK people, and quite economical to operate, unlike your Dear Leader.

Who´d ever imagine we actually COULD miss Dubbya and his cronies IF Trump gets elected. Now, that´s ironing ...

As a smart man once said, "Nothing´s that bad that it couldn´t get worse."

I think we are in need a few of H.L Mencken's perspicacious and often premonitory observations to reassure us.

"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard"

The Smart Set (January 1915)

"When a candidate for public office faces the voters he does not face men of sense; he faces a mob of men whose chief distinguishing mark is the fact that they are quite incapable of weighing ideas, or even of comprehending any save the most elemental — men whose whole thinking is done in terms of emotion, and whose dominant emotion is dread of what they cannot understand. So confronted, the candidate must either bark with the pack or be lost... All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

Baltimore Sun (26 July 1920)

There's pages of his juicier remarks here....

Instead of stopping and evacuating perhaps continuing slowly is the best option to prevent a total melt down.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for dinner.

And to pay for it, all the rest of us will be downgrading. Well not *all* the rest, just 99.99%.

I'm not sure you guys were ever #1... there's a lot of competition in the global a-hole category these days!

You of course have Putin, who screws his people in every way possible and they respond by loving him to death. I definitely see a parallel with Trump in that one.

Then there's Kim Jong-Il who has a limited sphere of influence, but what he lacks in quantity he makes up for in quality.

But Trump is definitely an up-and-comer... in the past his ability to do damage was fairly limited. Now it's much less so.
