No. Modern turbofans require 3-6 shots of the primer and should be started on the left magneto, then idled at 1000 rpm. In the event of depressurization in your Piper Cub you should immediately descend to 10,000 feet.

I agree with Brad, except to add that one has to have a good understanding of the location and the function of the mixture needle.
