Would you direct me to a source where I could read details on things ATC does to prevent traffic conflicts when a landing plane goes around at a busy, multi-runway airport where a departing aircraft might be climbing up below the landing plane in close proximity.
I know that during Instrument conditions, that there's genuine spacings and timings and rules that prevent this.
I also know that in visual conditions, planes can see avoid each other.
Still- in a very crowded, environment- I can see potential problems and the need for some Evan procedures that "automatically" protect planes from each other.
I will be searching www.internet.com, but I do not trust Google.
Conversely- you seem to have links to almost everything aviation- even obscure stuff- at your fingertips.
Thanks.

FAA Order 7110.65 will also give some information on what controllers (specifically) do.
