Re: Where next for airdisaster.info?
Ironingly, I have experience with St. Aug. Great turf for Southern Texas. It can still grow in Sweet Monkey River, but that is towards the upper end of its adaptability.
It's probably premature, but I guess we could add a turf-management sub forum.

Re: Where next for airdisaster.info?
Hi all,
Since my name was mentioned a couple of times here, I thought I would drop a note.
I visit this forum every once and then (i.e. very seldom) to read, well, almost nothing, since almost nothing is about everything that there is to read here.
In my last attempt of a serious intervention in these forums, I received a reply saying that nobody cares what I say, what must be true since the only replay to that reply was a welcome back for that user's testosterone.
Normally, I ignore that kind of comments and keep saying what I want to say, for those that might be interested in what I have to say (even if few).
However, there are fights that I prefer not to fight. If out of the 4 lonely cats that are active in this forum, all 4 don't care what I say, one bullies me, and another celebrate the bulling, what's the point? I can write my comments in word pad. Nobody would care either but at least I will not be insulted.
And don't get me wrong: While I am a technical guy, I am all for humor. I am not for disrespect and personal attacks, though. Especially when that, not caring, and celebrations of the attacks is all what one gets. If there was ONE person that would see any value (other than having food for attacks), maybe it would be worth it.

Concur.I do care
(Oops, this was supposed to be an edit of the above post. Sorry! I will reread the procedures manuals and sign myself up for remedial training post-haste.)

I too would welcome your comments. While I know that I have gone to the Dark Side of humor, please know that I don't take most of it too seriously. I do find it a bit tiring when someone is a bit too quick to throw pilots under the bus and make strong black and white statements.Hi all...

Per is omnipresent. Take a look in the rear mirror..............................frequently.I like the fact that numbers are limited as it means there is a bit of personality behind all the comments. One of the interesting things is seeing the same names on other forums, although I'm not sure how Per came to be on one of the Australia/NZ sub-forums on PPrune commenting on batteries in a Russell Crowe thread a few days ago !!!
If you want to get more traffic, I suspect you'd need to somehow generate more content in the Safety Discussion forum, perhaps a new thread for every Accident or Crash as seen in AvHerald http://www.avherald.com/h?list=&opt=7168, without infringing their copyright.

Maybe the point was to get across to you to take yourself (and, of course, your truly priceless contributions) just A LITTLE less seriously. Not much, mind you, but just a tad.

For an Argentine you have the sense of humor of a dead moose.

Also, is there any chance the Late Much Lamented One's name can be finally taken off the mods list? He's been dead 7 years now.

Re: Where next for airdisaster.info?
I've been meaning to say this...
I don't like our new livery.
The bullet hole (or is it the procedure for making a smoking hole in the ground?) for "AD-dot-info" just doesn't do it for me.
It really needs to be a Jetphoto...I don't care about the sharpness, nor dust spots, but good composure, and maybe even some artistic aspects would be nice.
