Anti rep. Demonstrators with Mexico flags

Flyover America likes guns.
Erasing lots of emails.
Speeches to wall street with no transcripts

I think a little historical perspective is in order here.

There has only been two times when a two-term President was followed by another person from the same party. One was when Bush Sr followed Reagan in 1988, and the other was when Martin Van Buren followed Andrew Jackson in 1836 (that's 180 years ago). That's it. There are no other examples of that happening, so her odds weren't the greatest from the very beginning, contrary to what Blitzin' Wolf would have you believe.

It seems the Dems made the same mistake with Mrs Clinton that the GOP did with Romney, namely ran a loser twice. I'm not really sure why they thought that someone who lost to a junior Senator eight years ago would do better this time. She only got older and accumulated more baggage in the meantime. Frankly, I think she screwed herself over when she accepted the post of Secretary Of State. Even without Benghazi and email issues, being part of the current administration made it very hard for her to separate herself and prove that she wouldn't just be Obama continued (not that she tried very hard). The other thing is that she's been at it a little too long. There's been talk of her Presidency literally since I was in high school. Seems to me a lot of people (including a lot of Democrats) got tired of her. She'd gotten stale. Health issues didn't help either.

Of course, the other person the Dems ran was even staler. Bernie sounded to me like a slightly subdued Noam Chomsky. Great to sit with over a cup of organic coffee, but as President?

That would explain MY vote, but I think you over estimate the power of this forum and my parlour speculation that El Presidente Electo Don Juan de Trumpo irritates Evan.

We only have his love of increased government regulation as a rough indicator of his possible political leanings.
