Unloading Fuel

Postby reubee » Thu Dec 08, 2016 12:50 pm

Ever had to unload fuel at the gate?

Recent experience my LAX-DFW A321 came out from the hangar fuelled as if it was going all the way to the East Coast. End result sitting on the ground for over an hour as they slowly pumped off fuel to get us below Max Landing Weight into DFW. As pilot said, designed to put fuel in quickly, not take it out.
