Are too many pilots making excessive, inappropriate rudder oscillations?

I have no data to support such an assertion.

IMHO people are taking this rudder-reversal business a little too seriously, and/or are not understanding the subtleties of the concept.

I'm pretty sure on most airplanes, if the rudder is pushed to one side, you are not forbidden to push it in the other direction from that time until the plane reaches the end of its service life.

(Envisions planes with placards on the instrument panel stating "Only left rudder permitted" and "Only right rudder permitted")

Repeating from there, I suspect that rudder inputs are generally significantly correlated with the need for yaw adjustments.

If only this were the only concept in regards to which there is such a lack of understanding.

You once shared a piece of some sort of QRHFCOMPONHProcedure manual something....

...about crosswind landings.

I recall it said (roughly): "Use rudder as needed to correct for yaw".

May not be word for word, but for ass-hat-parlour-talking????

Yes.
