Hi-Tique Fasteners...

Postby P3_Super_Bee » Fri Nov 13, 2009 2:20 am

Any one here familiar with them? Never heard of them(might because I'm used to working on old ass aircraft designed in the 50's) till I went through Hi-Tique Cert today at work. Supposedly they are better than Hi-Loks. Just curious to see what others think.
Not a Boeing or Airbus guy. Lockheed is the way... 20 year Lockheed P-3 Orion guy...

The HLT series have been around for a long time. The blurb describes them well enough.

Here's some good reading if you ever plan on working with them:

http://www.hi-shear.com/brochures/Hilok ... lation.PDF
you still have to find a crew willing to fly this "barely airworthy" heap
no such thing as "barely airworthy" it's either Airworthy or Not
100% incorrect Ever hear of Ferry Permit? issued for Non airworthy aircraft
LOL
