Advance Notice: Downtime

Postby monchavo » Wed Apr 01, 2015 4:29 pm

Fellas,

I'm going to take the board down this week for a major upgrade and security update (we're going up a version). This will require a full off-site backup. I'll probably take the board down either this evening (April 1) or tomorrow (April 2). The board will be out for approximately 24h. I have a test site but in my view I'd rather bring the whole thing down, do a full backup and bring it back up again with the upgraded version. I'm not sure I have the inclination to do it all twice :-)

Also, registration is up again for a trial period. If you know anyone from other boards that would be interested in joining - do send them our way.

Thanks

Board has been updated to the last iteration of this version. I will at some point need to update the board to version 3.1, however that may have implications to the skin we're using. I'll investigate that at some point (it's not urgent right now).

Any issues just let me know. Cheers.

What are you talking about?

(Interpret that as a back-handed compliment as I didn't notice the interruption (good day to be flying in my dangerous, low-altitude, cheap-composite pickup truck), AND know that your support of the forum is appreciated (jokes about almost Ms Monchie's demands on your times acknowledged)

As any service management exec will tell you, the best outage is one the customer doesn't notice :)

THANK AIRBUS the forum is back! I was on the verge of a mental breakdown... or, much worse, posting there  .

Thanks for the upgrade, Monch!
