Re: Turnabout is fair play?

If it was skidding at 20 it wouldn't skid at 50?
Dude, that's a huge oversimplification. There are a large number of different, and highly interactive factors that come into play as to when you would and would not skid and would or would not be guided off the runway.

Let's just hope Gabriel doesn't notice and elaborate...
After so many years on this crappy forum, can't you tell when you're being trolled? 8-)
Yes, I can tell and reacted out of a sense of duty to this crappy forum.

But, I'd say that Gabriel can't tell when he's being trolled...

2012 - 2019... Nothing has changed but the aircraft type,
And nothing will. That's what the take-off configuration warning is for.

How do you know that the TAD!!!! was averted by the take-off configuration warning and not by a flight simulator-savvy passenger relentlessly pushing the bring-a-hostie button?

Indeed...there are more foffie flap checkers than just 3BS and Not_Karl.

That's an integral part of the take-off configuration warning,

2 wrong don't make a right. (3 left do).

And in this case there were more than 2 wrongs. The pilots forgot to set the flaps, missed it in 1 or 2 checklist (if the checklist were performed in the first place) and when the TO config warning sounded, they "fixed" it and continued with the take-off instead of aborting, exiting the runway, take a minute to re-do the checklists (who know what else you missed) and then do a proper take-off.

And, the last wrong, no pax is desperately shouting "the flaps, the flaps!!!"

We[no italics] need more oversight and training in checking the flaps and cool ninja karate maneuvers to get to the cockpit door where we[no italics] yell, “Put down the flaps you cowboy idiot improvisers”.

Public physical punishment for 3WE…

I didn’t do safety check on this thread: I thought I had stumbled on a third incident, but it was a repost of the video from ~2 years ago.
