Plane blown around in storms
Can anyone highlight the bit where the plane is "struggling" to me?

Concur.
However, that is a wonderful video of a "classic" crosswind...I am fairly sure the crab angle lessens (with lessening wind) as the plane gets lower, with a little crosswind remaining so you do have to do some "fancy foot work" for a smooth touchdown.
Actually, let me correct that, it isn't "classic" at all as yes, it seems very smooth....perhaps too smooth?
Anyway- it appears that the crosswind lessened closer to the ground in classic fashion.

I'd like to know how this video has been filmed.
Helicopter? A second plane?

My guess would be from a helicopter, seems too "static" a view point to have been from another plane.

Yes, it was indeed from the BBC operated helicopter - I guess the BBC have to spend the license payers money somehow. My guess would be from a helicopter, seems too "static" a view point to have been from another plane.

must have been some storm, I only get pictures from Turkey, no matter what link I try to click on from BBC
Right, just had to click 'play' about 4 times or so, probably something that is normal for Windows Vista.....
The Londoners must have a different opinion on the term 'hairy' than people in Hamburg.

Perhaps by struggling they mean having to dodge bloody news helicopters in what is already demanding flying conditions.
